I finished downloading Korn's entire concert at Rock am Ring.
and i watch it before going out for dinner today.
I reached home then watched Red Hot Chili Peppers concert at Slane.
So i decided to compile the top 5 bands that have inspired or influence me all these years.
In no order of merit.
Top 5.
1) Red Hot Chili Peppers- Being the most influencial to me since Flea is my idol. He slaps the bass like no body's business. They have awesome solos. Their music is heavily infused with the heavy bass sounds. They always have killer performances. Incredible the feeling they transmit as if they were making love with their music.
2) Linkin Park- The first rock band i actually like. Their music is a hybrit of electronica, heavy guitar riffs and rapping. Original music and a very artistic band. Watch their music videos and you'll see what i mean. The band members are very down to earth. I can relate to many of their songs.
3) Evanescence- I like Amy Lee. She has the most soulful voice and can go a few octaves high and come back low again. She writes her music and it does not sound very fake. Their older albums are more depressing than the recent one. Makes beautiful videos like My Immortal.
4) Bon Jovi- I like them for their frontman's breathy, rough voice. Their songs are usually catchy. I usually listen to their songs when im feeling lurvydurvy (which is not always -__-)
Nice slow rock songs with a touch of sweetness.
5) Korn- I only like this band recently. Their songs are melodic plus a-little-headache-headbanging. I really good band to listen to when youre angry. This band ties with another band, Disturbed which sounds a bit the same. Like them for their crazy factor.
There, said it. I wont hold back anymore.
